It would cost me at least $24 to replace it and it only cost a few bucks more to buy the whole fan again. Lowe's should stock these globes for about $5. The house feels so much cooler when the fans are on and I can turn the thermostat a bit higher and save energy. During the spring and fall, I almost always get enough of a breeze by using my ceiling fan. However, quality matters.
